how it used to be. . (Jan 5, 2009 / 22:48)

Rewind.
A drives along the road in her convertible without an intended destination. Somewhere, somehow, A spots B walking aimlessly and asks if B needs a ride. B accepted A's offer and hopped it. Who knew, this eventually evolved into the start of a trip - A&B wanted to go places. Albeit they could not always come to a consensus, A&B gave in to each other sometimes.
The trip wasn't all sunshine and scenic views. A wrong turn often led A&B into a slight drizzle, and other times, a thunderstorm, but A&B always managed to find the light and the warmth that they both are familiar with. However, on one unfateful day, things took a turn for the worse. Not only did they not seek out the light, the storm was so bad, they couldn't make out what was in front of them, and crashed into a tree. A bled profusely while B only sustained minor injuries.
The car was sent to the garage, hopelessly beyond repair. A wasn't ready to let go (it was her first car) so she made a request to have it sent to the house. Occasionally, A would pick out a spanner from the toolbox, stared long and hard at the mangled mess of metal, let out a long sigh, shake her head and put the spanner aside. A wasn't a mechanic. A was lost. B popped by frequently and tried to repair the damages done, but B had no idea too. A yelled at B to stop coming by if B wasn't gonna be of any help, and B really did. A regretted and missed B, but A kept mum, concentrated on healing the wounds instead.
Finally, after all the persuasion from family and friends, A got rid of the junk, which was growing stale in the garage. Thereafter, A switched to taking public transport, don't know where it'll take her, but she knows she'd see places.
