On a side note, Cityhall is filled with a ridiculous number of policemen wearing hideous luminous vests. I couldn't help but let out a brief chuckle when I spotted one of them positioning themselves on a white elevated platform. Their pose was liken to Sir Stamford Raffles' holding onto an intimidating rifle, minus the crossing of arms. Apart from cordoning off the race area, they've plastered canvas sheets on them to refrain cheapo Singaporeans to crowd around to watch a free show. Damn smart. Why bother watching it live when all you see are chunks of metal zoom pass you 50 odd times?
